TRANSITION "LIGHT" COUNSELING - WORKSTATION PROGRAM

 

Suggested Duration: 15 Hours of One on One Counseling over a 3 Month time frame with use of Workstation and full Administrative Support, Duration can be altered by sponsoring organization.

The “TLC” program is a fully customized and comprehensive career transition program designed to be consistent with the critical needs, status and expectations of executives.  Each counseling session consists of one to two hours of private counseling to launch and guide the individual through a successful and clearly targeted job search campaign. Along with the   services listed below each executive will receive unlimited access to our specially designed Career Transition Website, an on-line guide to launching a full job search campaign.  Program includes:

  • Professional career consultation:   Private career counseling sessions consisting of one to two hour meetings and a 24/7 hour "hotline" to counselor.  Executive will receive counselor’s direct phone number, cell number, as well as work and personal e-mail addresses.
  •  Access to research resource materials: Including company contacts, references, publications and periodicals.
  • Career Analysis: In-depth evaluation of accomplishments, skills, interests, strengths, and weaknesses in the context of preferences for industry, salary and geographic requirements.
  • Assessment Tests:  Assessment of career interests, skills, abilities, personality, work style, and goals with feedback provided by career counselor.  The assessment tests include:  Strong Interest Inventory Instrument, Career Transition Report, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Instrument, FIRO-B Instrument, and CPI 260™(B) Coaching Report for Leaders.
  • Exploration of Career Opportunities across Sectors: Corporate, Not-for-profit, Private Practice Consulting, Business Start-Up and Acquisition including development of financial, marketing, and operations plans, fee establishment, introductions to potential investors, assistance with all types of negotiation and assistance in staffing the business.
  •  Job Campaign and Resume Development: Identification and selection of best options along with the development and preparation of resume, marketing plans and business correspondence
  • Design of Targeted Networking Strategy: Research and identification of company targets and contacts.  Customized campaign design using these guidelines for each of the multi-option approaches.  Personal introductions to professional corporate contacts, private equity, venture capitalists and key executive recruiters.
  • Interview Training: Intensive interview training utilizing DVD recordings and feedback.
  • Review and Evaluation of Job Campaign: Coaching and monitoring, evaluation of options, exploration of alternatives, creative decision making.

Support Functions

 

  •  Access to a workstation, telephone and state of the art computer for the day that their counseling time is used.
  • Personal business cards, letterhead, envelopes, computer, and telephone.
  • Full administrative support including preparation, editing and production of resume variations.  Preparation of letters and other business correspondence.
  • Unlimited copies of resume along with resume in both Adobe Acrobat PDF and MS Word formats.
